I brought these to the office today after advertising that I would be doing so, and I gave three away (saved one for myself). Everyone I showed them to was fascinated and a lot of fun was had just passing the lollipops around and studying the contents inside. The experience of actually eating the lollipops is almost beside the point, although that is certainly fun (and upon completion you can strike a few things off your culinary bucket list). Just being able to carry a scorpion around with you at work or wherever else is cool enough. Oh, the conversations that you’ll start with these…
Was doing a non fiction unit with my students over if consuming insects could be a viable food source in the future. Several students said they’d be willing to try insects if given the chance–challenge accepted and they loved this product.
These are great they taste great. the bugs inside are great, so far we’ve only tried the cricket but it was fun.I think it’s a funny fun way to get your kids tp enjoy bugs!
My 4 year old has been obsessed with the idea of candied creepy crawlies, since I first told her about chocolate covered ants. These did not disappoint, she terrified her siblings and several friends with these.They actually are very yummy, they’re just suckers… until you get to the center, that is ! My daughter only had the courage to eat 1 any, but the rest got chunked in the garbage as soon as she made it to the “prize” at the center.
The flavor of the suckers was fine. As we crunched into the hard candy surrounding the insects we really could not tell we were eating the bugs–they were as crunchy as the candy.
Absolutely awesome! This is something I thought I would never try but when my son asked to try a scorpion lollipop I thought well sure why not. My son and I enjoyed the cricket and Scorpion. The stinger on the scorpion was cut off which was good. We ate the bugs with no problem.We have the Ant and Worm ones to try next, I would most definitely purchase again.
BEST PURCHASE OF THE YEAR! I am the FUNcle and got this for nieces and they had fun w this I was in tears laughing at their reactions ! Hilarious Gag gift! Banana flavor definitely needs improvement.
Mission accomplished. Got them to tease the kids. they got a kick out of them and actually love them especially my four-year-old. She wanted to eat them all.
I ordered this product to show my students but the scorpion didn’t make it to school because my nephew ate it! When it got to school, my students loved it because we read about how edible bug products are a hit now. I ate the worm lollipop. I must say that it was a very interesting experience and I really enjoyed it. Thank you!
I got these for Christmas for my kids for fun. They are really neat and you can really see the bugs in them. They didn’t eat the bugs but said the lollipop taste good!! Really need fun joke treats the bugs look really intimidating
